Obertauern goes Green
One of the most snow-reliable places in the Alps is being heated by eco-friendly energy. By using the energy supplied through the burning of wood splinters, most hotels and houses reduce their carbon footprint by a large margin.
In total this saves us around 2.1 million liters of heating oil per year, which in turn reduces Obertauern's CO2 emission by 6 million kilograms per year
